Our Faith & Beliefs
Rooted in Scripture. Centered on Christ. Guided by the Holy Spirit.
What We Believe
Our faith is built on the unchanging truths of God's Word. We hold to the historic Christian faith as revealed in the Holy Scriptures — the Bible is our ultimate authority for all matters of belief and practice.
The Holy Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God — the final guide for all Christian faith, conduct, and practice.
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." — 2 Timothy 3:16
The Holy Trinity
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in power, glory, and majesty.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." — Matthew 28:19
Salvation by Grace
We believe that salvation is a gift of God, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone — not by works, but by grace through the finished work of the cross.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." — Ephesians 2:8–9
The Church
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, called to gather in worship, grow in fellowship, and go forth in service to the world. Every believer is a vital member of this body.
"Let us not give up meeting together... but let us encourage one another." — Hebrews 10:25
Prayer & Worship
We believe prayer is central to the Christian life — a direct line of communication with our Heavenly Father. Worship is our highest calling and greatest privilege.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." — Philippians 4:6–7
The Great Commission
We believe every Christian is called to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all people — locally in Quebec City and to the ends of the earth.
"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations." — Matthew 28:18–20
Our Statement of Faith
We believe in the one true God, Creator of heaven and earth, who has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We affirm the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ — His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that humanity was created in the image of God but fell into sin through disobedience. As a result, all people are in need of redemption. Salvation is provided solely through the substitutionary sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, and it is received by grace through faith.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, and in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost — the saved unto eternal life and the lost unto eternal separation from God.
Baptism & Communion
Water Baptism
We practice believer's baptism by immersion as an outward expression of an inward transformation. Baptism is an act of obedience that publicly declares one's faith in Jesus Christ, symbolizing death to the old life and resurrection to new life in Him.
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and wish to be baptized, please contact our pastoral team.
Holy Communion
We celebrate the Lord's Supper regularly as a sacred act of remembrance and thanksgiving. The bread and the cup symbolize the body and blood of Jesus Christ, given for the forgiveness of sins.
All baptized believers who have placed their trust in Jesus Christ are welcome to partake in communion during our worship services.
